(Text-only) ST JOHN'S BOXING CLUB

We will only accept members bookings by email . Sessions need to be booked upto 7days in advance. To book on for sessions please email Andy at andyjohnrea@gmail.com and state your name, membership number, and sessions you wish to book. Due to members booking and not always turning up We will require 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel (I realise this isn't always possible) but If you book on for a session and do not give 24 hours notice of a cancellation so the place can be filled by someone else you will be required to pay for that session. Due to increased numbers and long waiting list, we require our members to attend a minimum of 1 session per week. Failure to do so could result in your membership being cancelled.

Everyone at the club would like to say a massive Thank You to PeteEveryone at the club would like to say a massive Thank You to Pete Ging and everyone at SWMCC for their generous donation. His total money raised as SWMCC President was £3666.36. The money was raised by members of SWMCC. Events held included a race night. A president's bowling competition. He also ran a 5km run at Longford Park which raised over £600. We would like to thank all the members at SWMCC for all their help and generosity and support. The money was split between two charities' £2466,36. For St JOHNS BOXING CLUB £1200,00 FOR THE DOGS HOME. I wanted to support St. John's ABC because of the work they do in supporting health and fitness and training with the young children who attend the boxing classes. The donation to the dog's home was made in memory of Wilf Cole Who preceded me as president but sadly passed away due to ill health during his term as president RIP. It was a great honour for Pete to be president of SWMCC and to be able to make those donations to two very worthy causes. Ging and everyone at SWMCC for their generous donation. New gloves and pads purchased by Crampton Brothers (Coopers) Ltd

Big Thank-You to Harry Crampton and all the staff at Crampton Bros (Coopers) Ltd for the donation that has enabled us to purchase new equipment for when the club re-opens post Covid 19.

We were the first club in Greater Manchester and one of only six boxing clubs in England to receive clubmark.

Clubmark is the only national cross sports quality accreditation scheme for clubs with junior sections. It is built around a set of core criteria which ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent, accepted and adopted minimum operating standards.

Sport England recognises and values the commitment made by sports clubs to develop high quality, welcoming environments for young participants. The development of clubs that encourage young people to take-up sport, improve their talents and give them the option to initiate and maintain life-long participation in sport is an essential part of our work to support the sporting infrastructure in England.
